Holiday offers - Tanzania

Thinking of the jaw-dropping majestic scenes of huge animal roming in the savanna and it comes as no surprise to learn that the Tanzania National Parks and Game Reserves are the main attraction for many visitors on holiday.

The parks and holiday reserves of the 'northern safari circuit' - which include the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Park - are the most popular with visitors and are very easily reachable fromArusha.

But for those in the mood for something a little more adventurousduring their holiday, southern and western Tanzania is a safari region widely seen as Africa's 'Next Big Thing' and the area is adored with remote national parks, bursting with adventure.

A little bit harder to reach and therefore attracting far fewer tourists for a holiday, the parks include the Selous Game Reserve - for classic game viewing in an unspoilt wilderness, and primate-packed Gombe Stream and Mahale National Parks. These two parks afford visitors to Africa the best chances of getting cose to chimpanzees during your safari tour.

There's also great wild plains game viewing at the remote and little-visited Ruaha and Katavi National Parks, plus adventures of a different kind at the extraordinary 'beach and bush' Saadani National Elephant Park, excellent for a camp safari.
